FAQs

What materials and processes are used to make my piece?

All pieces are made on the potter’s wheel using a fine White Stoneware clay, decorated with slips (liquid clay), and finished with a transparent or blue/grey glaze. More information on my making techniques can be found on the Process page.

Is my pot food and drink safe?

Yes! All my pieces are finished with a food safe glaze.

Can I send my purchase as a gift?

Yes! Just select ‘Send as a Gift’, add a gift note at checkout, and I will pop in a handwritten message.

How do I care for my ceramic piece?

Stoneware is a very resilient material, and is microwave and dishwasher safe. However, I do advise avoiding thermal shock to preserve the longevity of your piece.

How will my piece be packaged?

My packaging is as green as possible, and is either 100% recyclable or compostable. I use paper bubble wrap to protect all pieces, which are sent in eco-friendly boxes, packed with starch based chips.

I’ve an idea of a piece I would like, but can’t see it in the shop. Can I commission something?

Yes, I love working with customers to create a bespoke piece. Have a look at the Commissions page, which outlines the process of commissioning from me.
