Flow - Bud Vase
This round stoneware Bud Vase has an energy which belies its small stature, with sweeping brush marks that dance and dive across the clay’s surface. A unique expressive piece in my collection exploring the movement of marks and lines.
The exterior of this wheel-thrown vase is left unglazed, instead I polished the surface after high firing, creating a wonderfully soft tactile finish. Decorated in dusky green and ochre slips, tones inspired by the beautiful Suffolk fields which surround my studio.
Perfect as a gift, adorn with a delicate bloom, or simple seed-head, to bring an earthy mood to any room.
